Welcome to Hangeul Calligraphy London!

Since 2009, we have been running workshops and events that celebrate the beauty of Hangeul, the Korean Alphabet. Over the past 16 years, we have had the privilege of collaborating with Korean Cultural Centre UK (KCCUK), museums, galleries, universities, and cultural festivals across the UK.

Our goal is to share the art and elegance of Hangeul through hands-on, traditional calligraphy sessions. Whether you are a beginner to Korean writing or curious to deepen your understanding, our workshops offer a chance to experience the flow of each stroke.
We also create special stationery designs for cultural events, wedding invitations, and personalised stationary. Our clients include corporate brands, educational institutions, and luxury hotel. ​

Kilchan Lee - Calligrapher
Mr Kilchan Lee has been running a calligraphy class in New Malden area since 2009. He also has been invited as a guest teacher at various institutions including Korean Cultural Centre UK, Kingston Adult Education, and London Sejong, where he has shared his expertise in foundational calligraphy techniques.
His artistry has also been showcased at international events such as the World Travel Market at London Excel and the Matka Nordic Travel Fair in Finland, and Edinburgh Festival Fringe where he was invited by Korean Tourism Organization London to transcribe visitor's names into Hangeul (Korean) presenting them in a traditional and beautifully handwritten format. Mr. Kilchan holds a nationally accredited Advanced Level qualification in Hanja (Chinese characters), highlighting his deep mastery of traditional forms.
